This privacy policy applies to https://peoplesbudget.com/ and all subdomains (ex: https://neworleans.peoplesbudget.com), owned and operated by Committee for a Better New Orleans and Benson Technologies LLC ("People’s Budget", “Big Easy Budget Game”, “Budget Game”, "we", "us" or "our"). This privacy policy describes how People’s Budget collects and uses the personal information provided on our web site: https://www.peoplesbudget.com/. It also describes the choices available to you regarding our use of your personal information and how you can access and update this information. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy does not apply to information we collect by other means (including offline) or from other sources.

General Information

We may collect the e-mail addresses of those who communicate with us via e-mail, aggregate information on what pages customers access or visit, and information volunteered by the customers and users (such as survey information and/or Budget Game input). The information we collect is used to improve our products and provide our services, and no personally identifiable information is shared with or sold to other organizations for commercial purposes, except to provide products or services you've requested, when we have your permission, or under the following circumstances:

  • It is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of our terms, or as otherwise required by law.
  • We may use your email address to inform you about our products, such as letting you know about upcoming changes or improvements.
  • We transfer information about you if the Big Easy Budget Game is acquired by or merged with another entity. In this event, the People’s Budget will notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Information Gathering and Usage

Before purchasing a License you will be asked to supply (i) billing address, (ii) email address, (iii) credit card number and (iv) the expiration date of your credit card. The People’s Budget uses Stripe to securely process payment and we do not store any credit card information. Credit card information is stored and processed by Stripe under their privacy policy. We store billing information for generating invoices, products and services provision, identification and authentication, product and services improvement, contact and research.

Marketing

The People’s Budget may use your contact details to send you general updates regarding Big Easy Budget Game, along with news, special offers and promotions. You may at any time opt-out of receiving these updates.

Cookies

  • A cookie is a small amount of data, which often includes an anonymous unique identifier, that is sent to your browser from a website's computers and stored on your computer's hard drive.
  • Cookies are required to use the People’s Budget website and applications.

At your request, you can delete your account with the People’s Budget and all your related information will be deleted, unless we have to keep that information for legitimate business or legal purposes. Because of this, after you delete information from our service, we may not immediately delete residual copies from our active servers and may not remove information from our backup systems.

This Privacy Policy applies to the People’s Budget website and Big Easy Budget Game. Our Privacy Policy does not apply to services offered by other companies or individuals, sites that may include reference the People’s Budget or Big Easy Budget Game or other sites linked from our websites. Our Privacy Policy does not cover the information practices of other companies or individuals who reference or link to our website or the Budget Game.
